oh my lanta guys!

thanksgiving is here! that's one of the most exciting things I've heard in a long time (but also the scariest because it seems like I have a never ending number of midterms within the next week).

I feel like while I was growing up, my mom and dad always reminded me to give thanks for what I had, and to always be grateful for the life I am fortunate enough to live. Of course, being the amazing parents they are, they made that a very regular thing to remind me of, not just a couple times around the holiday season. so it was always there, in the back of my head, but it wasn't for a very long time, that I truly realized how blessed I was.

thanksgiving is a very special time of the year that we are given time to reflect on the things we are so graciously given, whether it be some of the materialistic things we are provided with, or the people all around us!!

I know for me, its easy to get caught up in the super fast paced world we live in, but it doesn't hurt to remind yourself of how blessed you are every once in awhile. The holiday season is a perfect yet very challenging time to reflect on this. If for some odd reason, you run out of things to be thankful for, THINK ABOUT JESUS! Yes, you should be thankful for him alllllll the time (like literally 25/8), but if it's something you might not normally think about a lot, try it!

a story in the Bible that never fails to take my breath away, is the story of Jesus's crucifixion. I'm sure you're like well yeah of course I mean I hope that one stands out a lil bit, but like FOR REAL guys:

JESUS WAS HUNG ON A CROSS BY PEOPLE HE LOVED AND ADORED MORE THAN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE AND STILL HE SAID:

Luke 23:34-

"Father, forgive them, for they do not now know what they are doing"

...

WHAT.

like how unreal is that?! we are so beyond loved.

luke 23 goes on to say how the rulers sneered at Jesus while he hung on the cross, and people yelled and cursed him, mocking him by saying, "he saved others, let him save himself if He is God's Messiah, the Chosen One." (they like seriously jinxed themselves). after all of this, still Jesus pardoned their wrong doings, and died on that cross so we would be set free from our sins.

He gave his life, to give me mine.

there is no greater love than the love Jesus has for us, and that is something to be thankful for.
